From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot stated he had flown to sedona, AZ (sez) but when selecting the gear down the mains came down but there was no green light (gear down). He suspected the nose wheel had failed to extend. He returned to Scottsdale, AZ (sdl) and contacted the tower and done a flyby and they confirmed the nose wheel was not extended. He then flew around for a few minutes trying to get it to extend with no success. He then landed on the mains with the nose wheel in the well. The airplane was looked at by a mechanic who confirmed the gear doors had malfuntioned.
