From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot, Mr. Thomas john garlick stated in his signed statement, that on March 11, 2004, at approximately 4:00 pm local time, he landed at Opa Locka Airport after performing aerial banner towing in the local areas. Landed at runway 9R smoothly, without bouncing, then brought the power back to idle and proceeded to slow down gradually. Once he slowed down to a fast jogging speed, he noticed the aircraft tail to rise. Had the control stick all the way back to the seat the whole time and the tail continued to rise. He added full power to try to get the tail to go back down but it was too late and the propeller grazed the ground. Noticed both propellers blade tips were curled up.
