From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 3/16/2004, N900MG, Dassault FA50 reported the NLG would not deploy and diverted to lax. Pilot executed nose gear up landing on runway 25R. N900MG skidded 1000' on it's nose after touch down. No injuries to the 15 passengers on board. Nose gear deployed as aircraft was raised from runway, gear pin installed and towed to Garrett repair station for damage evaluation. Initial inspection revealed damage to lower nose radome, nose gear doors, tat probe, forward bulkhead and jack pad. The following components were removed and replaced for safety, components removed were sent to france for failure analysis to determine root cause: hyd restrictor p/n A24508-5090, hyd restrictor p/n A24508-5180, NLG actuator p/n D22795001, NLG downlock strut p/n D22796001-1, l/g solenoid valve p/n BHC1031-1 and NLG uplock p/n C24245006-1. Dassault engineering authorized a temporary repair to the forward bulkhead (frame 0) area consisting of doublers and triplers, this would allow a maintenance ferry flight. Special ferry flight permit issued, aircraft flown to wilmington, de for further repairs on 4/26/2004. Dassault or Garrett will complete a m or d and forward to Oklahoma city.
