From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 4/10/04, Mr. Bernard gregoire, owner and pilot of N90076, was interviewed. He stated that on 3/20/04, he landed on runway 20 at cabin creek airport, a Private strip about 30 miles west of kalispell, MT. He stated that while making a wheel landing, the aircraft veered to the left and he corrected with right rudder and right brake. The aircraft then turned about 75 or 80 degrees to the right and he then corrected with left rudder. He said rudder input was not good as the airspeed was too low. The aircraft then departed from the runway and plowed through a snow bank and flipped over on its back. The aircraft sustained substantial damage; Mr. Gregoire was not injured. Pilot experience data will be provided via amendment at a later date.
