From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During an approach to landing on runway 25 at the Sky Manor Airport (N40) in Pittstown, NJ, the aircraft stalled at approximately ten feet in the air, short of the runway threshold. The flight was a training flight for Mr. Ruo, his instructor and, pilot in command, Mr. Weber occupied the right front seat. The nose landing gear began to collapse as a result of the hard landing causing the propeller to strike the runway. There was minor damage to the main landing gear doors, and minor damage to the trailing edge of the flaps. The weather was VMC and there were no reported injuries.
