From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot states he experienced a loss of lift resulting in a stall while on approach to his Private landing field in winds estimated at 15 knots gusting to 20 knots. The pilot reports he experienced mushy controls and a fluctuation in roll rate with an increase in descent rate close to the ground. Pilot reported he increased power in an attempt to correct and a go-around was attempted. The pilot claims lack of performance and control led to impact with trees located on departure end of field. No injuries to pilot who was sole occupant. Aircraft suffered damage to wings.
