From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On June 21, 2004, at approximately 1630 CDT, Ayres S2-RT, N2292J, experienced minor damage due to a ground loop on landing near Wynne, Arkansas. The commercial pilot stated that, after making a normal landing roll, the aircraft lost directional control as the tail wheel settled to the ground. The subseqent right turn caused the aircraft to veer off the runway and traverse a ditch. This resulted in damage to the propeller and landing gear. He added that he believed the tail wheel might have been unlocked on the landing. The incident occurred on the 20th landing of the day for this pilot and aircraft. The pilot (the sole occupant) did not receive any injuries. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed, and no flight plan was filed for the 14 code of federal regulations part 137 local flight.
