From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) PIC stated that, following his first touch-and-go, he observed a deer on the airport while on his downwind leg. He continued his approach to the runway while watching the deer. He neglected to extend the landing gear, and the glare from the sunlight affected his ability to observe the gear-down lites. He was wearing a headset, and didn't recall hearing a gear warning horn from the overhead speaker. The gear-up landing resulted in damage to both propellers and belly skin scrapes. The aircraft remained on the runway, and all occupants were able to egress without difficulty. A post-incident inspection revealed no mechanical abnormalities.
