From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On July 13, 2004, aircraft N421MD, CE-421A departed maccarran international airport. The aircraft was piloted by marvin ray grimmet (ATP cert. # 2384633). According to the pilot, as he approached 12,000 feet the right engine started to quit as if it had fuel starvation. He switched fuel tanks and turned the low fuel pump on but to no avail. He adjusted the fuel mixture forward, however the engine wanted to quit. He also noticed that the oil pressure dropped to nearly zero and the manifold pressure to 12"-15". He then feathered the engine and declared an emergency and landed uneventful with the right engine out at Henderson airport at about 2005.
