From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On July 19, 2004, at approximately 0330 CDT, Beech king air C90A, N242EM, sn: LJ-1351, experienced an unsafe down and lock indication for the RH main landing gear. Following several landing gear cycles, the aircraft landed without incident at Eppley Airfield in Omaha, Nebraska. Subsequent investigation suggested that the main landing gear down lock switch was out of adjustment. Prior to towing the aircraft, maintenance personnel verified that the RH main landing gear was down and locked. After towing the aircraft to the maintenance hangar, the landing gear indicator functioned properly. The aircraft was ferried to the wichita, Kansas for corrective action under an aircraft special flight permit. Subsequent troubleshooting disclosed that the RH downlock switch was sticking.
