From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On August 1, 2004 Beech king air N280TT experienced a right engine failure in level flight while it was being operated for hire by sun quest executive air charter, (eiea). Investigation revealed that the failure was a result of fuel exhaustion. After a successful landing was made at vny, the tanks were drained revealing that the left tank had 35 gallons and the right only had a few cup fulls. It was determined by maintenance that the right fuel gauge was reading 400 lbs when in fact it was empty, the left gauge appeared to be accurate. Presented this info to the operations side of office for their review on the pilots actions. Closing out incident investigation.
