From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Per boston TRACON: "N9132V, pa 46 shortly after departing Laconia, n.h. pilot became incapacitated. Pilot's wife and daughter were passengers. Daughter contacted boston TRACON and advised of situation. With the help of the controller who was a pilot and flight instructor, the daughther, who had flown a pa 28 before, returned to Laconia and landed the aircraft without incident at 1620 EDT, 8-9-04. Emergency equipment responded. Both pilot and wife were incapacitated by that time. Fire department confirmed carbon monoxide poisoning." NTSB notified per new england operations center. Went to Laconia airport to look at aircraft. At this time FAA does not have custody of aircraft because situation has not been determined an accident. Looked over aircraft without removing cowlings, panels, etc. Noticed 02 mask had been deployed. Oxygen generator has singed pillow from aircraft slightly. This inspector contacted daughter, privacy data omitted by telephone. Daughter informed this inspector that mother and father had a brain hemmorhage. Daughter also informed this inspector that carbon monoxide poisoning was not cause of parent's incapacitation. Daughter then went on to inform this inspector that she had been told that doctor figures mother had become incapacitated after seeing father incapacitated. Discussed situation with guilford fire chief. Chief stated that passengers were checked for carbon monoxide levels and aircraft was swept for carbon monoxide levels. All levels well below acceptable levels per fire chief. Notified NTSB of this situation and was informed by NTSB this is being considered an incident. Have not been able to obtain any information from hospital. Numerous repeated attempts to obtain information from hospital administration have not been successful. FAA accident board has been notified as well as office management. Last information from NTSB personnel stated both parents were still hospitalized as of 8-11-04.
