From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During cruise at an altitude of approximately 8000 feet, over the area of Concrete, WA, pilot experienced a rough running engine. The pilot attempted several ways of identifying the problem, but no change. Pilot decided to descend and land at Concrete WA airport (3W5) to determine what the problem was. During descent, engine continued to run very rough. On downwind base the pilot advanced the throttle slightly to see if there was any response with the engine, but it continued to run very rough. The pilot closed the throttle at this time, for the remainder of the flight. The aircraft landed without further incident. Pilot contacted flight services. Information was passed on to the roc.
