From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) After completion of a bfr, pilot was attempting to land when he noticed he didn't have a gear safe light on the right main landing gear. Flyby of a border patrol helicopter indicated that it appeared that the right main landing gear was not in the down and locked position. Pilot flew aircraft for another 45 minutes to burn off fuel then proceeded to land at the Sierra Vista, AZ airport. The right main landing gear collapsed on roll-out. Aircraft received minor damage to the right flap trailing edge, right wing tip, and elevator tip on the right side. It was discovered that a bent rod in the right main gear resulted in the inability for the gear to extend to the locked position.
