What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Left hand main landing gear collapsed on landing and the aircraft skidded to a stop on the remaining part of the strut. It was determined the lower attach weldment had failed. A crack had developed around the strut tube where it had been welded, this crack rendered a weak attachment for the gear fork and it came loose from the strut on touch down. The boarding step was also damaged by the skid. privacy data omitted
