From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft was on final for landing with the pilot privacy data omitted in the left seat. The touchdown was too fast and the aircraft ballooned into the air. Throttle was added and the torque pulled the aircraft to the left. The aircraft touched down in a left crab and departed runway 05 to the left. As the aircraft left the runway the right gear failed. After the gear failed the right wingtip hit the ground. The pilot stated the wind was about 10 knots right down the runway, but the wind was not a factor.
