(-23) The event began with pilot ^privac^ transporting his associate privacy data omitted from stellar airpark (P19) to pick up his Mooney at cgz. The two arrived at approximately 23:00 the evening of the 18th in aircraft N2157H, a Cessna 172, in order to drop off ^privac^. ^privac^ departed cgz after the two agreed that the pilot ^privac^ would follow him and they would meet at stellar airpark, they agreed to communicate on 122.8 frequency. ^privac^ tried to contact the pilot ^privac^ after departing but got not response. He finally called the pilot privacy data omitted wife and asked her to report him missing. At approximately 04:00, 01/19/2005, ^privac^ and a friend of the pilot ^privac^ family, privacy data omitted drove to czg and found the pilot ^privac^ dead, lying beside N2157H at the departure end of runway 5 at approximately 05:00. The engine was running at idle RPM and the taxi light was illuminated, but very dim. The body was found lying parallel to the fuselage with the feet even with the plane of the propeller and the head positioned off. There was severe trauma to the face and head area apparently as a result of being struck by the rotating propeller. There was a small flashlight found next to the body. The aircraft brake was set and the avionics master switch was on. It appears the pilot ^privac^ exited the aircraft after arriving at the runup area and was attempting to examine the aircraft in the vicinity of the engine or nose wheel and was struck by the rotating propeller, causing fatal injuries.
