From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) At approximately 0730, N90421, a SK-76A with 10 passengers and a crew of 2 were due to depart Cameron, LA. To an offshore platform (HI-296). Pilots were torque setting the engines prior to take-off. Condensation had formed on the pilots windshield obscuring their visibility. The pilots did not realize that the aircraft was starting to hover, and was drifting to the right. The SK-76A right main tire contacted a main rotor blade of a parked bell 407, (N417HH) sitting on the pad next to the SK-76A. The parked aircraft belonged to the same company. The pilots moved the SK-76A to the FAR left and landed, shut down the aircraft, and unloaded the passengers from the aircraft.
