From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) While in cruise flight, PIC experienced vibration, followed by engine roughness. Vibration/roughness was apparently severe enough to convince PIC that total failure was imminent. PIC declared emergency, and landed at first available airport. Nose gear collapsed on landing. PIC stated that landing was harder than usual, but not so hard as to cause gear failure. After landing, PIC reported that two cylinders had "blown". Engine had just come from major overhaul, and had between 5 and 6 hours since completion of that overhaul.
