From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Upon arrival in the vicinity of cez the automated weather was reporting winds 150 at 19 knots gusting to 25 knots. The pilot states that in his estimation the winds were significantly stronger and more gusty. The pilot reports that during the landing to rwy 21 at about 10' during the flare, he experienced a significant wind shear, landed hard, bounced a couple of times and the aircraft came to rest off the right side of rwy 21. The local FBO, privacy data omitted, A&P, inspected the damage and reports the nose gear is collapsed, firewall is damaged and the prop is damaged. In that there were no injuries and the pilot is not claiming any mechanical failure it was determined an on site investigation would not be cost effective.
