What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) During the pilot's second flight of the day, the pilot privacy data omitted stated that he was in the air for 45 minutes and was returning to fisher field in Middleboro, MA. At 900 feet, the engine stopped and he concentrated on landing in a field. The field had rocks and a tree line on the FAR end. He came over the trees somewhat steeper than he would have liked and veered toward the right to avoid objects. The aircraft skidded approximately 25 feet and came to rest into a metal fence at the tree line. The pilot privacy data omitted stated that his seatbelt held. The aircraft sustained substantial damage.
