From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot was taxiing for parking and misjudged distance from deck railing of a restaurant located at the airport and hit the tip of the leading edge of the left wing. The impact of the deck 4 x 4 post attached to the railing damaged not only the leading edge of the wing but also caused structural damage to the wing spar, causing a wrinkle in the upper surface of the wing skin and damage to the rear trailing edge of the flap and wing located at the root of the wing closest to the fuselage of the aircraft.
