From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft landed on runway 5 at ftt. Pilot reported he had 3 green lights on approach and landing. After landing, and prior to coming to a stop, the aircraft made a 180 degree turn on the end of the runway. At the end of the turn, the nose gear retracted. A witness to the landing said the aircraft was traveling at a high rate of speed when approaching the end of the runway. He saw the aircraft make a very abrupt left turn to prevent the aircraft from going off the end of the runway. privacy data omitted
