From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On climb out after touch and go landing at Ryan airfield (ryn), Tucson, Arizona; the landing gear switch was placed in the up position, after gear cycled up the landing gear in transition light would not go out. The landing gear switch was placed in the down position and the landing gear extended normally with 3 green down lights on. Aircraft landing was uneventful. Post flight inspection completed with no apparent landing gear damage, aircraft discrepancy log completed. During an inspection by the maintenance department, damage was found on the left wing rib and the main gear and fuel tank area. It could not be determined if damage was caused by the last flight or previous flights. No additional causal factors at this time.
