From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Operator experienced unsafe gear light on gear extension, attempts to solve problem unsuccessful. Gear up landing elected. Engine secured prior to touch down @ approx. 200'AGL. Aircraft sustained minor belly damage, two prop tips damaged during landing skid. No personal injury, no airport property damage. Aircraft raised, gear extended and towed off the runway. Runway re-opened after clean up. Follow-up with owner/operator has determined that a cabin close out panel forward of the gear was installed with sound proofing material adhered to the back side, this interfered with the gravity cycle of the gear extension. Discussion with a representative of the kit manufacturer regarding interference in this area and review of the kit instructions is in work. The request to the kit manufacturer was regarding gear swing "cautions" during fabrication, close out panel installation and a final gear swing after complete assembly. Results pending from the oem.
