From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) While taxiing as flt. 6587 for cvg, from gate B-4 @ tlh, and making a right 180 deg. Turn, the PIC lined up the aircraft nose wheel on the white line for the edge of the roadway instead of the yellow taxi line, which resulted in the left hand wing tip of N836RP hitting a cement wall for a distance of 37.9 feet. The crew stopped the aircraft, shut-down the engines and deplaned all passengers via the airstairs with no injuries involved. Maintenance had to get the aircraft defueled, the remaining fuel transferred to the right wing and the right main lg tire pressure reduced so as to lift the left wing & move the aircraft back from the wall. The aircraft's left wing tip was replaced @ tlh, the aircraft was inspected and then maintenance ferried to cmh. Follow-up repairs and a service check were performed by cmh chqa maintenance which included repairs to the left wing flange at the outer end (rib #25 bent), re-installation of wing tip, static wick replacement, wing tip sealing and left hand aileron tip repair, all iaw the Emb srm & m/m. the captain's irrgularity report stated "I lined the airplane nose wheel up on the white line for the edge of the roadway, instead of the yellow taxi line."

As the FAA filed it
