(-23) On June 5, 2005 the pilot privacy data omitted took off from Clinton County Airport (kplb) at 2:45PM in his Piper PA-32 with two passengers on board. He flew around for approximately a half hour, then came in to land on runway 14. After touchdown, he realized he did not put down the landing gear. The aircraft slid on its belly and for approximately 600 feet and eventually came to a stop on the runway. Damage to the aircraft was scrapes on the belly and bent propeller. The scrapes on the belly started at the nose wheel doors, and continued all the way to just aft of the flaps. The left and right flaps were damaged, with severe scrapes approximately 6 inches outboard from the fuselage. The tail tie-down bracket, has evidence of a small amount being grounded off.
