From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot of this aircraft, who is also the owner, reported that he wanted to check the results of recently completed paving at the Wishek, ND airport, for which he is the manager. After making a series of touch and go landings, he reversed direction and landed in the opposite direction. The pilot reports he simply forgot to put the landing gear down. He reports hearing the gear warning horn but thought it was the stall warning. Minor damage to the aircraft and a bent propeller resulted. No injuries were experienced by the pilot who was the sole occupant of the aircraft. The pilot reported that he has not complied with the requirements of 14 CFR part 61.56, flight review for many years and wishes to voluntarily surrender his pilot certificate for cancellation in lieu of violation action.
