From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Approximately one hour into the flight when the aircraft was about 2000 feet AGL on final approach to oak, the most aft light in the main-cargo-smoke warning system illuminated. The fire bell and corresponding light intermittently sounded and illuminated. No fumes or odors were noted in the cockpit. After landing the aircraft was taxied clear of the runway and the crew evacuated the aircraft via the crew-entry side. Maintenance disconnected the #6 smoke detector and the illuminated lights were extinguished and the fire bell was silenced. The #6 smoke detector was removed and replaced by maintenance and the system operation was checked and found to be satisfactory.
