From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On August 20, 2005, a Pilatus, PC-12/45, N4TS, was inbound VFR to Great Falls International Airport (gtf), Great Falls, Montana, with a pilot, 6 passengers, and 2 dogs on board, when upon landing hard at gtf on runway 21, the nose wheel assembly departed the aircraft. The aircraft slid approximately 1300 feet down the runway and came to rest with the nose gear still extended. There was no fire or damage to the airframe and all occupants exited the aircraft with no injuries. There was damage to the propeller and the nose gear wheel fork. It appears that the aircraft hit hard on the nose gear upon landing causing the nose gear wheel fork assembly to fail. This incident is considered closed.
