From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Left wing tip struck the ground during rotation phase of take off. Contact was made on the bottom left wing tip tank drain bung and contact continued aft on the tip tank to the aft tank tip. The ground strike striations on the tip tank are angled approximately 13 degrees in nose nose left yaw. Upper left wing surface from the tip tank attach flange at the main spar and continuing in a diagonal direction to the wing trailing edge at the left aileron and mid point is heavily creased. Lower wing exhibits skin waviness but to a much less degree. The trailing edge spar beginning at the most l/h outboard point and continuing inboard to the inboard aileron hinge is distorted, both spar web and lower and upper spar cap. The main spar outboard tip aft edge flange which attaches the aft wing section is distorted at the last outboard 6 inches. The last four outboard ribs and associated longeron wing stringers are heavily distorted. Left wing tip tank attach flange is distorted at the main spar area, tip tank is heavily dented and heavily abraded at the contact points.
