From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Following 7 normal full stop landings at nearby airports and 3 additional full stop landings at jxn. The operator attempted a fourth landing at jxn, upon landing and on final roll out the aircraft started to track right, the pilot was unable to prevent the right drift, the aircraft made a 90 degree right turn then an abrupt stop, nosed over, striking propeller and then coming to rest on the tail wheel. Pilot and passenger exited the aircraft after shut down, inspected landing gear for a suspected flat tire, both ok, then tried to move the aircraft off the active runway and could not. Further investigation revealed that the parking brake knob was slightly applied, approx. 1" extension. Fully depressing the park brake control allowed the aircraft to be moved normally.

FURTHER INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE PARKING BRAKE KNOB WAS SLIGHTLY APPLIED, APPROX. 1" EXTENSION. FULLY DEPRESSING THE PARK BRAKE CONTROL ALLOWED THE AIRCRAFT TO BE MOVED NORMALLY.
