From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) At approximately 1130 hrs local, PIC landed at bed and requested instructions to taxi to the signature ramp (FBO). Ground control instructed and gave directions to the PIC to taxi to the signature ramp. When the aircraft was near the turn into the west ramp where signature is located ground control informed the PIC to contact signature on radio frequency 130.8. 2 minutes later the PIC contacted ground control from jet aviation's ramp (FBO) at taxiway s for instructions to signature. Ground control again instructed the PIC to signature via taxiway s, specifying a right turn into the ramp when the aircraft was at the entrance to the terminal ramp (south west side). Upon interviewing the PIC he stated that he mistakenly taxied his aircraft towards jet aviation via a vehicle driveway parallel to taxiway s and was not aware that his aircraft struck the rudder of a parked aircraft (N42LH) located at the vehicle driveway (nose pointing 15.5 deg west).

As the FAA filed it
