What happened

(-23) Canopy departed aircraft 6-8 miles south/southeast of Elizabeth, CO. Just after finishing a loop, 10-15 seconds after straight and level during a demonstration by the pilot privacy data omitted. Canopy hinged on right side popped off the nylon guides and damaged the right lower wing with a fabric tear. Right horizontal stab received a fabric tear on the leading edge also.
