From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The aircraft experienced some difficulty during take-off roll. Aircraft took-off normally and climbed to 60 or 70 feet, the pilot noticed something wrong with the aircraft's ability to maintain a pitch attitude and after climbing an additional 30 feet he turned the aircraft back to the runway. As soon as the turn was made to the right, the aircraft went into a steep turning dive. The controls were totally ineffective during the dive and the pilot tried to flare the aircraft and again the controls were ineffective. The aircraft impacted the ground and was destroyed.
