From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On October 04, 2005 at 21:30 central daylight time, a single engine Piper malibu sustained minor damage after striking an obstruction on the ramp at Tulsa International Airport. The private pilot and sole occupant of the airplane was not injured. In a telephone interview, the 1800 hour private pilot reported exiting the runway at taxiway C1 and taxiing to the FBO on taxiway c. he then mistakenly turned onto the ramp east of the FBO. Attempting a 180 degree turn to reposition the aircraft to the west side of the FBO, he struck an unlit concrete parking block. He further stated that his vision was compromised by the bright area lighting on the side of the hangar. Examination of the aircraft by FAA inspectors who traveled to the site revealed minor damage to the propeller, right wing and right brake caliper. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed and the flight was conducted under 14 code of federal regulations part 91.
