From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot was taxiing to the run up area to check out his engine. An aircraft, N203EN started to pull onto the taxiway from his right. The pilot applied his brakes sharply, the nose of the aircraft dipped over and the propeller struck the ground and the engine quit. The now stopped aircraft then tipped back onto its tail wheel. The wing of the aircraft that came onto the taxiway went over the canopy and came to rest on the cowl. The pitot tub of the other aircraft scraped the paint on the cowl.
