From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft was on an instructional flight when it veered off the left side of runway 18 at the Anderson, Indiana airport. The pilot privacy data omitted was providing instruction to the owner/student of the aircraft, privacy data omitted. This was the first lesson that the pilot privacy data omitted had provided to him and it was also the first time that he had provided dual instruction to a primary student. After a normal approach and touchdown, the student applied pressure on the left rudder/brake pedal causing the aircraft to depart the left side of the runway. The left wing struck the PAPI light box causing damage to the pitot tube with no damage to the light box. The pilot privacy data omitted stated that he did not attempt to bring the aircraft back onto the runway for fear of striking a runway light. It should be noted that he did not have brakes at his pilot station and that he did not attempt to use the parking brake located between the pilots.
