From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) According to pilot's statement. Pilot departed (ptk) with no event to north of ann arbor looking at some property. Upon returning to (ptk) pilot could not get proper gear indication for down and locked (4 green). Pilot requested a visual, then did a fly-by the tower for a visual confirmation of all 4 gear. The tower said that all 4 gear appear to be fully extended down. At this time the pilot decided to land and to perform a slow/soft landing "using a checklist." Landed with no problem, then after roll out right main landing gear collapsed very slowly upon applying right brakes for a turn off. The acft was jacked and the gear was forced over center manually then taxied to Michigan aviation for inspection. The gear is only supposed to take 300-400PSI for operation, maintenance found it took almost 1500PSI to operate, maintenance found the cause was inadequate lube. The owner is looking into enhancing lubrication intervals.
