From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During the takeoff roll the pilot stated he was able to lift off and attempted to remain in ground effect. However, the aircraft settled down to the snow covered runway. There, the pilot continued with full power applied but was unable to reach takeoff speed prior to exiting the end of the runway where the aircraft impacted sage brush and a ditch causing the nose and left main landing gear to fold. This resulted in the left wing impacting the ground and separating from the fuselage. The pilot stated the snow was approximately 3 inches deep at the takeoff starting point.

As the FAA filed it
