From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot was enroute from addison, TX (ADS) to victoria, TX (vct). To avoid weather at vct pilot diverted and landed at Yoakum, TX (T85). Landing was to the south, on runway 13. Winds were light and variable. The aircraft did not touch down until the last 1000 feet of the runway. Pilot reported that when the aircraft touched down it veered to the left and departed the runway. Aircraft traveled approximately 80 yards through the grass, and up an embankment, striking a barbed wire perimeter fence. Aircraft contacted several large wooden fence posts causing substantial damage to the leading edges of both wings. Aircraft continued through the fence and crossed highway 3475. Aircraft then contacted a second barbed wire fence, passed through that fence and finally came to a rest 60 yards inside a pasture.
