From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot privacy data omitted stated: on jan. 15, 2006 I was the pilot of N31JK on a flight from dts to bhm. Upon landing at bhm on runway 36, the nose gear collapsed causing damage to the propeller, nose gear doors and inner main gear doors. I had light and manual indication that the gear was down. After this office examined the aircraft it could not be determined if there was any mechanical problem with the nose landing gear.
