From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During the first instructional touch and go landing, the CFI configured the aircraft (flaps and trim) for t/o after his amel student landed at sdl. The landing was made uneventfully, on the centerline, no wind condition and as the student brought the power up as instructed by the CFI for beginning the take off, the CFI felt the aircraft immediately leave the centerline heading to the left. The CFI took over the controls and realized something was wrong with the left main tire and applied right brake to keep the aircraft on the runway. As the a/c slowed, the left prop contacted a runway light along the left side of the runway. Damage was to the left prop and left main tire only. The engine was removed for inspection. No other action deemed necessary.

AS THE A/C SLOWED, THE LEFT PROP CONTACTED A RUNWAY LIGHT ALONG THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. DAMAGE WAS TO THE LEFT PROP AND LEFT MAIN TIRE ONLY. THE ENGINE WAS REMOVED FOR INSPECTION.
