From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The aircraft had departed bec for omaha. Enroute, at approximately midpoint of the flight, the pilot noticed an oil pressure needle fluctuation of greater than 10 PSI on the RH engine. He reduced the power setting to idle, the fluctuation continued to exist. Since the fluctuation was dropping below 60 PSI, per procedures, the pilot elected to secure the engine. Additionally, since it was snowing in omaha he decided to return to bec. During his return to bec the radios and transponder stopped working for approximately 15 minutes. Prior to arrival at bec the radios began working again. The pilot was advised by ATC that they had declared emergency for him and asked if he needed further assistance. The pilot made a request to contact bec tower. He then contacted Wichita approach and Beech tower. The aircraft was landed at bec without incident.
