From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Student pilot ^priva^ was conducting touch and go landings. On his third touch and go while retracting the flaps, his aircraft veered to the left. He stopped braking and was unable to correct the aircraft with right rudder. He then began braking to slow his aircraft speed. He departed the runway into the median and the prop struck some rocks. The weather was clear with winds light and variable. No injuries to the pilot. No further action taken in this incident. His instructor will enforce positive aircraft control while conducting landings.
