From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 29 mar, 2006 at 1042 EST, N938ER, a Piper pa 44-180 "seminole", veered left off runway 25R at Daytona Beach international airport, FL immediately after touchdown and impacted the 9000 ft runway-remaining marker adjacent to the runway, incurring substantial damage to the right wing. PIC was privacy data omitted pilot at the controls was privacy data omitted. Upon touchdown abeam taxiway N9, the nose landing gear strut immediately collapsed forward, and the nose dropped onto the collapsed strut as the aircraft began to veer left. The crew attempted to regain directional control but could not. Crew brought throttles to idle, propeller levers to feather, and mixtures to idle-cutoff as aircraft reached edge of paved surface. Right propeller blades struck edge of pavement, left propeller blades impacted sandy soil alongside runway shoulder. Aircraft quickly removed to allow runway to re-open. Nose gear drag brace found broken at forward bushing mount. Nose oleo shows evidence of bottoming out in compression. Drag brace and bushing sent to NTSB metallurgical lab for analysis.
