From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot arrived at Destin, FL on VFR flight. Entered pattern for visual arrival, rwy 14, dts. ATIS reporting winds 280@10G14. Pilot made normal landing and after approximately 200' rollout crosswind gust pushed aircraft toward runway edge lights. In an effort to avoid contact with lights pilot applied power and pulled up to execute a go around. Pitch angle was excessive and aircraft stalled. Pilot pushed nose over and was then headed approximately 30 deg. Left of runway heading (approx 110 deg) and was headed for the trees left of the runway. In attempting to correct this he again stalled the aircraft and impacted the area east of the runway. It appears from on scene investigation that the left wing tip impacted first then the aircraft slid on its wheels until the nose gear and right main landing gear collapsed.

As the FAA filed it
