From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) All aircraft indications were normal for gear down and locked prior to landing. Shortly after touchdown, right-hand main landing gear (r/h MLG) collapsed inboard, the normal direction for retraction. Substantial damage to r/h aileron and damage to lower r/h wing skin, r/h propeller, r/h horizontal stabilizer tip, and rear ventral fin, as aircraft came to rest off r/h side of runway 28. Found r/h MLG bellcrank arm parted from lower over-center link arm. Also found r/h MLG bellcrank arm upper pivot bolt sheared at both ends where attached to the airframe lugs. Operator to complete SDR for bellcrank arm.
