From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The Beech B99 was being operated as a jump plane that had just completed its first flight of the day to 13,500 MSL. Pilot was distracted while entering the traffic pattern by a jumper that had landed off airport. He also reports being fatigued from being up most of the night. The pilot did not realize that he had failed to extend his landing gear until the aircraft struck runway 36 at the Greensburg co. airport. Pilot admits that he did not pull the gear down and landing gear lever was found to be in the up position. Counseling was provided to the pilot regarding the use of the aircraft's checklist.
