From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot discussed winds with the tower and was concerned as all four wind socks disagreed. The ASOS favored runway 4. Runway 4'S windsock did indicate a right crosswind. As the plane touched down and the pilot was moving her feet from the pedals up to the toe brakes, she inadvertently touched the right brake and the plane veered to the right, her left foot missed the left brake initially and by the time both feet were on the brakes, the airplane was too close to the edge of the runway to attempt a correction. The pilot did use brakes while still on the runway and while departing the runway to the barren dirt on the side. The left wheel dug into the dirt and the aircraft came to rest inverted. Minor damage to both prop blades, left wheel fairing, and lower left wingtip, further nicks and scrapes to the upper left wingtip, vertical fin and rudder. A minor scratch to the canopy. Official wind at the airport comes from ASOS and the ASOS is located by the approach end of runway 22, no accurate wind indications are available to the ATCT.

As the FAA filed it
